Physical medicine and rehabilitation deals with the:

• Prevention
• Therapy and
• Rehabilitation (restoration of health after illness)

Because of its multidisciplinary comprehensive training, a specialist in physical and rehabilitative medicine offers a broad spectrum in the detection and treatment of functional and structural disturbances, especially of the musculoskeletal system, nervous system and heart and circulatory system.

My work focuses on the particular diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of diseases and disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the individual pain management.

The most common illnesses in my ordination are mainly problems with the spine, the intervertebral discs, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments, but also movement and balance disorders.
After medical interview and physical examination with the hands and mind a precise diagnostic will be done by me.
Afterwards an individual therapy and treatment plan will be created which may contain one or more of the following non-surgical treatments:

Manual Therapy (chiropractic, osteopathy) like

• functional muscle or joint investigations,
• mobilization
• manipulation (straightening) or muscle energy techniques
• Medications
• Injections, infiltrations and punctures (intramuscular, intraarticular, periarticular, subcutaneous, midsubstance, etc.)
• Consulting on therapeutic aids such as special bandages and splints joint protection
• Laser therapy
• Acupuncture

Depending on the disease picture physiotherapy treatments (heat therapy, cryotherapy, etc.) Advice, creation and control of therapy and training plans, development of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation application forms.
The aim is a rapid reduction or elimination of symptoms and a reduction of suffering.
In addition to the treatment plan a preventive strategy will be drawn up, because good long-term results are usually achievable only by active and preventive measures.
I regularly check your recovery progress.
