Flu shot
This year's flu vaccine 2021/2022 has arrived. Please make an appointment. We consider this vaccination to be recommended, especially in times of Covid-19 / Coronavirus. What is the flu or, medically, "influenza"?
The flu is a contagious, infectious disease of the upper respiratory tract caused by the influenza virus.
These viruses "rearrange" themselves every year, which is why no permanent immunity can be assumed from infections that have already gone through in previous years.
The transmission route is a droplet infection from person to person. The flu usually begins with an acute and severe feeling of illness with a high fever, fatigue, headache and body aches.
A longer period of recovery with a dry cough can follow. The virus damages the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract and hinders the body's defenses.
This leaves the body vulnerable to more serious, mostly bacterial, infections.
Who should be vaccinated?
1. All people older than 60 years
2. People with underlying diseases, such as B. high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, diabetes, liver and kidney diseases, patients with immunosuppressive diseases or with appropriate medication.
3. People who come into contact with many other people, such as teachers, bus drivers, sales staff, medical staff, people in care and community facilities.
The vaccination does not protect against "banal" colds (flu-like infections). A variety of other viruses are responsible for this. However, these infections are usually less prone to complications.
When should the vaccination take place?
We at your practice recommend vaccination as early as possible in September or October.

whether they are still a danger for older people and risk groups, such as the grandparents.
Numerous companies are currently testing their employees to assess whether and when a return
in everyday office life will be possible. In principle, the degree of infection in German society
